VISION AND STRATEGIC PLAN

CFAR’s Vision is:

To provide networking and educational opportunities to share our collective knowledge, passion, and experience in building a circle of relatives.

To accomplish this, with the support of the Calgary Foundation, we engaged in what is commonly referred to as a Strategic Planning Exercise, right in the middle of the onslaught of the COVID-19 pandemic that has so drastically impacted our ability to Build Relatives in known ways.

Building Relatives 2020 is the result of that exercise.

Our thanks to Dr. Reg Crowshoe, former Chief of the Pikaani Nation, and Rose Crow Shoe, as well as Tracy Balash of Brave Birds Studio for guiding us in this process. Thank you as well to the Aboriginal Friendship Centre of Calgary for partnering with us to be able to engage in this important work.
