Contribute Your Thoughts to the Resource Development Policy – Alberta Energy

To encourage the development of more oil and gas processing in Alberta and to help diversify Alberta’s energy sector, three programs were created under the Energy Diversification Act of 2018.

Alberta Energy is seeking feedback from industry stakeholders, and would like to seek the perspectives of indigenous business on the draft application documents for the programs.  Links to the draft documents can be found on the Alberta Energy website at http://energy.alberta.ca/AU/Processing/Pages/default.aspx by clicking on the links to the pages for each of the three programs.  Written feedback can be provided via email at Energy.edprograms@gov.ab.ca.  This email can also be found in the draft application documents.

The feedback will be used to improve the final application documents in areas of technical content, clarity, and effectiveness in achieving program objectives.

We are asking for feedback on the draft documents by May 18, 2018.

The final version of the documents are expected to be posted online in early summer 2018, when the programs open for applications.

The program email account will remain open during the application season.  Potential applicants will be able to ask questions and seek program clarifications during that time.  See the application documents for more information.
